Asking for a friend....

Or, more accurately, my wife and I may have differing opinions on this subject and I'm curious what the prevailing wisdom is on the matter.

One is too many: get a drysuit :)

I kid, though. I have a drysuit, an 8mm semi-dry wetsuit, and a 3mm full wetsuit. That's enough for me, I haven't felt the need to buy another for a few years.

I've been thinking about getting a drysuit. I want to extend dive season to 12 months out of the year.

My 3mm is enough. And if it's too chilly for that, then I use my drysuit. I did my OW training using a 7mm, hated the Michelin Man feeling, and it turned me off from doing any local diving. A couple of decades later, I discovered there was such a thing as a drysuit.

I have:
3 mil full suit
3 mil shorty
5/4 full suit
7mm two piece freediving suit w/ attached hood
7mm one piece back zip
3 mm hooded vest w/ 7 mm hood
1/4” rubatex beavertail top attached hood
7mm South Korean material very dense top w/attached hood - commercial application
1/2” rubatex two piece urchin suit w/attached hood - commercial application.
And a bunch of gloves, booties, and odds and ends, old suits that I cut up to make custom alterations, etc.
My next suit will probably be a @JMJ Wetsuits custom urchin diver commercial suit.

My one and only drysuit went in the trash about 10 years ago.

I don't have all that many wetsuits for myself. I'm pretty easy....

My wife, on the other hand.... I have yet to find the perfect wetsuit for her, and lord knows I've tried.
