guarding a battery of 8"s on a
hill overlooking the border at
Fulda when Kennedy was killed.

The Marine Corps. didn't trade-in their 105s for 155s until '80 or '81. The older model 155s didn't lend themselves well to amphibious landings. The newer one were lighter and maybe smaller.

I got sworn into the Army Nov. 29th, exactly 1 week after Kennedy died. I was already signed up so it just fell out that way.
