US Army. 1971-75. Started as Vietnamese Interpreter/Translator. Ended with Field Hospital.
 
The last 2 years here especially since 11 Sept, Infantry slots have gone out much higher. Now most people with bad grades are forced to go Air Defense.

finally Bn S-2 1/33 d Armor, 2d Bde, 3d Armored Div
1962-1966 Germany. Did Airborne too.

Not enough fear, loathing and violence.

Hey Lawman! Good to know that there are some other od farts that are just getting into this diving thing. After 11 dives, I'm hooked. maybe we need a support group and senior rates on air :flame:

I was in Gelnhausen. The only thing
Colin Powell and I have in common is
that we both pulled guard in the guard
house in Gelnhausen. He was in the 2/48
Inf and left right before I got there. Now
that historic site has been torn down.

Just one of the cadences that got my upper body in great shape after I called it at Bragg.
 
Quit after six years in National Guard, do I count as ex-military? I retired out as the training NCO, even though they offered me a couple more stripes to be platoon leader, I couldn't see what the future would do for me in the position I was in.
I chalk this endeavor up to experience, because, what do I get now - no VA benefits or any other bennies. Just an honorable discharge piece of paper ;-0
