I'm assuming you're asking this question for yourself. Go diving first. That's how I voted.

No mate, not for me. I have waited until I got to 100 (well 99) before starting. I've done almost 20 sites, however I would prefer to have more experience at different locations in different conditions. I have done most of my diving in **** viz, strong current and cold water though (not England, Oz!), so I think I got some good experince for that all though I want more baby.

What my main beef is though mate is wannabe pro's just flying through to get their DM/Inst like a blue peter badge and they don't know their arse from their elbow. Maybe I've just got a chip on my shoulder after waiting for more experience before wanting to be put in a position where someones safety is my responsibility.

I was chatting to a lad in the bar last night who's just got his ow ticket and has decided he's going to work his way up to Inst as quick as he can and work on Koh Tao. I tried to reason with him, but gave up after a spliff.
