bummer I seemed to have cut a bit too much off mine... It currently passes thru the crouch strap but only reach half way till the left d-ring...

you can put a rubber hose retainer on there if you're really concerned about it *same type that's used on the corrugated hose to keep the LPI where it is supposed to be. Most of the webbing is still enough that it doesn't flop around, but some of it does. I like to keep mine under the D-ring because it makes the buckle less likely to pop open during penetrations, but it isn't necessary.
