How long should a housing hold a vacuum?

While on things vacuum-related: how long do the batteries last in the nauticam vacuum system?

I have around 40-50 hours of usage so far, but what can I expect: 100 hours? 500? 1000?

Is it a best practice to apply the vacuum the night before a dive? Do you tend to leave the camera sealed in between dives if multiple dives per day?

I'll generally do a vacuum check the night before if I have time. I check my strobes, batteries, take a photo on surface to verify memory card is installed and everything is working.

I do this mostly because I don't like to feel rushed in the morning and I hate opening a camera on the boat.

Otherwise I'm happy if it holds a vacuum on the way to the dive site or boat ride (+1 hour). I don't usually leave a vacuum multiple days because I almost always take everything apart to charge batteries, remove memory card.
