How long do you before flying do you not dive

My husband and I have to fly to wherever we dive, unless we want to dive in *really* cold water. We always wait a minimum of 24 hours - just to be on the safe side.

I've never minded putting a halt to the diving at least 24 hours before flying. Aside from the safety issues, this leaves me plenty of time to get the gear cleaned up and dry before I pack and to spend a little time doing the tourist thing.

As a travel agent I dive a lot in situations that I have to take a plane afterwards and always I maintain the 24 hours before rule ! I even try to increase this margin after repetitive dives !

Maybe I can be considered over-careful and that's what I am
