I do not think that there are parts for that reg any more. Its a close out. There are some nice ScubaPro MK10 with G-250 for 200 on ebay and that would be a good reg for the money. And no they are not mine. Just my 2 cents

what length hose do I need, and is MyFlex worth it?
I'll be using a Zeagle Tech Express or a Ranger.
I'm going with a HOG D1 cold water kit, but what length hose do I need, I think I want to have a BCD-inflator-integrated backup second stage, so I guess this HOG would need to have a hose length that would be long enough for two dives to swim side by side with? So..... 40 inches?

Looks like I'll also need a DIN to Yoke adapter. Anyone know a good one that's relatively cheap?
You myght find the MyFlex hoses too floppy. Because they have no memory, you may find them a little harder to retrieve without going back to the first stage
You couild get a Zeagle Scout for around and $200.00 and "less is more." If you believe "less is more," then you will have saved money toward the purchase of a BP/W. Could not resist.
Another option is to put a 90º fitting on your 40" hose, route it under your arm, and use it as your primary. This will eliminate the "wide arc," and still leave you enough hose to comfortably donate in an out-of-air situation, while you breathe off your Air2. And the configuration won't feel like a big departure from what you're used to.40" is going to have a "wide arc". if you use it normally.I'm going with a HOG D1 cold water kit, but what length hose do I need, and is MiFlex worth it? I'd either go shorter to typical length or go to a 60" and bring it up under your arm, around your neck and hose coming to your mouth over your right shoulder.
Before you buy that BCD-integrated-octo, go try someones and see how you like it. I'm betting you won't. (just my opinion).
Yes in my opinion. it gives better flexibility and will help reduce "gum fatigue" if you do a bunch of repetitive dives day after day. (like on a liveaboard.) having that reg in your mouth 5+ dives a day and moving your head to look at stuff will wear on those gums. I've been real happy with my MiFlex.
Any of them will work. Even the generics. The generics are made in the same factory that the "brand name" ones are. Only difference it typically the logo's.
I've never had that problem really in the water.
Thanks for the info! After reading up on the pros and cons of the inflator octos and the craziness that occurs in panic situations, I think I'm going to stick with a seperate Octo, and this dawned on me:
The Hog D1 is an excellent reg and only costs $100. So what's stopping me from buying a second one and using that as the Octo, besides the lack of bright color? An el-cheapo bright colored Octo from other brands already cost $130 at least...
