beach = 1/2 mile
LDS = 1/2 mile
3 dive boats within 10 minutes drive.
BHB 20 minutes drive
Sometimes will drive an hour or so for a weekend dive, if we go out of Pompano.
Farthest I have gone is the keys, 3 hours or so.

Dutch Springs and Bainbridge are less than two hours away and I have a local stripping pit that I use for testing and just getting wet that is 10 minutes away. The ocean is 4.5 hours away, too much for a day trip I need at least a three day weekend to justify the drive.

For me------it's 45 miles to Toledo Bend Reservoir----but my bestest diving is a 90 mil truck trip to the GoM, then a 40 mile trip offshore by boat..After those, it's a 4+ hr drive to Freeport, Tx then a hundred mile boat trip to the Flower Gardens........isn't diving easy, lol....

I am 7 miles from Pompano Beach Florida.
I drive past I think 5 compressors along the way (1 shop is now closed on Sundays).
Jupiter is 1 hour away.
WPB 45 minutes.
FTL 30 minutes.
Homestead/Biscayne Nat. Park, 1:15 minutes.
Key Largo 90 minutes at warp 3.
My farthest drive is to Key Weird...3.5 hours on a good day, 4 hours on a bad day.

And just so you know, it is not always a bed of roses down here...
The weather guy on TV says we will be dropping into the 50's tonight.
Brrrrrr........
Need to close the windows before bed and turn on the heated mattress pad.

Chug
Likes Florida for the most part.

Land of 10,000 lakes, 'cause calling it the land of 11,842 lakes doesn't quite have teh same ring to it. I can find places to dive within a few minutes drive of my house.

But for better visibility, the drives are a bit longer. 30-45 minutes or so. There's some really good quarries in the 1 - 3 hour drive range, and some iconic dives around the 6 hour mark.

Since my U.S. home is in El Paso, TX, it's about a total of 25 minutes of driving time to get to some good diving. . . 15 minutes to the airport and then another 10 minutes from the airport in Cozumel, MX to my home there. There's just no good day trip dive sites within driving distance from El Paso. I could be wrong, but I think it has something to do with being in the middle of the desert?!?! Plan B has worked out well for diving though.:D

Ten minutes from our office to favortie dive site (yes, I've gone diving on a long lunch break :D ). About 100 yards to ocean (which was "interesting" with this morining's Tsunami warning & evacuation). 400 yards from LDS.

Best wishes.

It is about 2.5 hrs to Monterey and 1.5 hours north to Fort Ross for local diving.

A 5.5 hour drive to Santa Barbara for some Channel Island boat diving.

When I lived in La Jolla it was a short walk to the beach.

Good on all those who have ten minutes from their office.
