Hello, Just wanted to know how you guys store your regs? I have mine hanging in my closest.
Chris

No permanent place yet... As of now, it's in my closest.

In between diving, I have mine on a desk with hoses straight out and 1 loose bend for long hose. When going to a site or traveling, in sp reg bag.

In theory hanging a reg wouldnt cause any harm. Most regs are way too light to stretch the hoses. AFAIK any reg placement where none of the hoses have a tight bend or a kink is perfectly fine. Kind of obvious, but if hanging, make sure to keep first stage higher than second stage in case there is any water.

Hanging a regulator shortens the life expectancy of your hoses. 2nd stage dangling below 1st stage. We notice small cracks in the bend on the hoses during inspection on regs that are hung. Hanging is the most convenient way and as said earlier it is a good way to keep any water out of the 1st stage. Call it a trade off. Lying flat loosely coiled is a great way to store if you have the room also.

I have one of the hangers that will hold my BC and it has a place to screw on my first stage. But, I don't let my 2nd stages hang.. The octo is placed in the octo holder and the primary is laying on the cumberbund. That way, they hang, but not to where they put any pressure, however little, on the hoses.
