I find the small tetra pak containers with the straw attached work pretty well, if you flatten out the corners, they fit well in a pouch or pocket.

Remember that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

The Capri Sun brand of juice packs, about 10oz/300ml IIRC, in foil packs work well for me. They collapse nicely when you sip on them, so you don't get any saltwater into them until the last few drops of juice.

I'm told that the sport water bottles (the ones with the flip up top) work well.
They don't for me. I guess you could get skilled enough to bubble air back up into the bottle as you drank, but I find it easier to just sip something out of collapsible container.

Most of my diving is in clean-enough fresh water, so I don't have need to use it much, but I've had good results from a camelback on longer saltwater dives. No real contamination problem, just tuck the mouthpiece away and take a sip from time to time. I've bungeed mine to a deco bottle and also tucked it under my backplate, either place seems fine.
