Hmm, you think it's expensive when you start...

Then you realize you need a drysuit... then you move to doubles... then you realize you want / need a canister light ...

Really, I could stop anytime I wanted... I just don't want to ... ;)

Hmmmm what she doesn't know won't hurt ME!

~~SNIP~~

The rest is just my occasional "play" money from our general fund...she likes "Longaberger" baskets, I like dive gear!

HMM I think I will adopt this philosophy. . .

BTW Does she have a room just for baskets? or does she buy baskets to put inside of another basket because they look cute together?

Sure, you can. Just keep telling yourself that....

Agreed! I've had to pick up a part time job in fast food for that can light! :shakehead

well - I'm a rent-a-geek (computer consultant) and like TRH - I have sold my soul (but always to the highest bidder)

Thank god for all those vcr's blinking 12:00 across the globe.

(ya know computers are just machines that add 0's and 1's and have a tv screen attached to them)

Kids are gone, the military pension doesn't hurt either.....

Hey LetterBoy thanks for serving! Oh and btw the wheel doesn't work well if it were missing a cog...so each cog is very important:)

Cheers

Steve

Edit - Me and the Mrs were pretty well off right up until we took that resort Dive in Cairns Australia a few years ago - been close to bankrupt ever since...but it sure is nice u/w

Expensive is relative - for the cost of a weeks vacation to most places you might want to go you can buy a pretty decent set of gear and then take a whole lot of one day diving vacations! It's also not any worse than a really good set of clubs and greens fees at a nice course or ski gear and lift tickets.
Since I wasn't taking any expensive vacations to give up and already had kids who were addicted to eating and wearing clothes I took a PT job bartending to buy my gear. And more classes, and more gear, and more classes, and more gear, and my IDC & IE. Now it pays for itself with a little left over at the end of the year. It has also paid me back with a lot of wonderful experiences and some truly great friends! You know, the kind you actually do trust with your life. As they say in the ad, PRICELESS!

It's a good philosophy..she has no clue WHAT I really own (well it was tough when I bought the two steel 119's....not quite as easy to sneak into the house as a mask or a light! :D )

Yeah...it's called our whole house! :rofl3: If they made a basket that hid the commode, I'd have splinters in my butt!:11:
