Turning away an SPG is done to prevent (or limit) injury in the event of the face exploding. I don't know if doing the same with an AI computer will help. I generally look at my AI computer while pressurising the system - I just turn the air on really slowly. This is beneficial for the regulator seats more than anything else.

Cheers,

Andrew

Actually it does matter , he didnt say if it was wireless or not . If its wireless you should only have to do it with the SPG you have for when the wireless part fails.

I don't know, I've got a wireless air integrated (the Atmos Elite T3). I face it away every time I turn the tank on. You never know when the tranmitter is going to transmit extra hard and blow the wrist comp...

No i don't no even with a SPG aleast not the way they told you.
I'll look at the face of the SPG and not the rear.:no
And why will you ask?? well in case of a HP blowout the front will not come of,
but the small rubber plug at the rear end will shoot in your face.

Whenever I turn my tank on I point the wireless wrist receiver away from anyone who could be hurt by it shattering.<G>

All of the AI (non-wireless) computers that I've looked at have their pressure sensor right down next to the distal end of the hose and thus the housing does not pressurize like an SPG, but I still turn them away when I turn the air on, old habits die hard.
