Packing the rubbermaid or stanley tubs for local diving, I try to pack somewhat according to order I'll need things. The BP/W ends up on top since I set that up on a tank first thing before I start messing with exposure protection. I also tend to store my bp/w inflated somewhat - I can hang the whole thing upside down and this seems to help water drain into the inflator hose where I can empty it out easier. Regs under the BCD since they go on next. Rest of the bucket is exposure protection and accessories (mask/fins/instruments).

One thing to try if you have space for it, is to keep the wing about half or a bit more inflated when packing the whole assembled rig. It's a lot harder to pinch flat the wing if it's inflated, though obviously it's less compact.

thanks for the info guys.. so far i've tried the BP/W on top.. somehow it packs better. while the regs go under. im using a 54 liter box. I don't use a wetsuit just a dive skin and boardies.

My gear gets used every week.. the longest break I ever had was 3 weeks. lol.. I think i've mentioned before i live 30mins from the nearest dive shop.. and 10 mins from the nearest sea.

Thanks again for the info. keep em comming though... i could learn a lot!

hheheh.. if you're into shore entry my home is like 15mins away.. but it's not a very beautiful place to dive... although.. i haven't really tried. Night dive is really easy over here. What you're saying is.. a complete possibility. Night dive before dinner.
