The LDS fixed me a 6cf bottle in an Akona bag that is too small, so the belcro straps come undone and the bottle falls out. But that's ok bevcause I can't figure out how to attach it anyway. If I turn it upsiode down and bungee it to the tank, the mouthpiece is tooo far to reach my mouoth. If I make it upright, I cana't reach the know to durn it on (I'd rather leave it off till I need it).

I finally wore it around my neck and put the bpttle under the cummerband. Would not be good going up a t-ladder in rough seas, tho.

How do you attach yours? Pictures would be nice.

Thanks.

Here is a link to what I think is one of the best ones ut there but they dont have them that fit the 6cu bottle , you would have to move upto a 13 or 19 bottle but here is an example of what is out there , I have used this system and love it easy to use and to take off if you dont want to use it at all..... http://www.quickdrawbracket.com/item432493.ctlg

Really, you need a 19cf or bigger. And the best way is to sling it like a stage bottle. Do a search for "pony". You'll get about a weeks worth of reading.

There is a lot to consider about what size you need, and how to mount it.

I've had my 13cf attached via main tank in the back. Makes me feel cumbersome mounted like that. I am in the process of making the rigging to sling it. If you search, several have posted photos/links of how to do it.

I agree. I sling a 30cf bottle. You can kinda see it in my avatar.

"it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that sling..."

If you are using a plate/wing bc take a look at mounting device sold by Golem Gear. This is intended to be used for dry suit argon bottle but will work nicely for a 6 cu. ft. pony. The Quick Draw bracket works well for larger bottles and mounts to your tank.

Just side sling it like a decompression bottle. Easier to don/doff, its visible, it doesn't mean messing with weights for balance.
