How do all these gopros get lost?

I have to admit that I recently lost my GoPro while diving at Ginnie Springs because I didn't secure correctly to my BC and when I surfaced it wasn't there, so back down I went and there it was in the hands of a diver that thought he had found a free GoPro.
I'm sure that with 5 pages of responses what I want to say hav already been said but here goes:
From what I've seen, new divers with cameras are more interested in there little piece of tech that they don't pay attention to the group and get lost and panic forgetting they have a camera and they drop it and surface to find there buddies.
