We just go back to the good old days of SCUBA, you know when a wanting to learn to be a diver person just went to Sears to buy their gear, the fire station for the air and were told "When it gets hard to breathe start swimming up, but slower than your smallest bubbles".

(The way my uncle learned to dive)

Would that stop the pro agency/anti agency pro LDS/anti LDS bickering?

Please stay where you are. A PADI hitman has been dispatched to address your suggestion.

Live free, die free..or whatever Nemrod said.

Agencies are for guidance, that's it.

No, because there remain agencies and shops that are convinced that they have a god given right to carve a new life out of the diving public.

It would be nice to go back to the old days as everyone today wants your $$$$$.

Padi = Put another dollar in

Some folks never figured out that the 1980s ended (the 1960s never ended for me:D).

Maybe the problem is capitalism... Maybe we should go back to being like Cuba!

Or is it OK for the rest of the world to practice capitalism just not the dive industry.

I've yet to find the free classes these folks allude to....let's see, let's just say $350 for an open water class, PADI gets $15.60 for the PIC and roughly depending on the instructor/shop's level, maybe $25 for the books....yep, their getting rich off you alone, watch out! Oh, and of course, they own all the scuba equipment companies. :shakehead
