I would love to hear your favorite Bonaire restaurants, and why they are the best.
Your top 3 please!

Richards - great food, nice atmosphere, very good service.

Kon Tiki - the Taglefellia Pasta w/ shrimp is excellent.

Casablanca's - good food and plenty of it.

Let me know! Like I said let me know and I can arrange it.

After looking into it a bit more, I don't think this is the right place for us. But, thank you for offering your help.

I need to pick 3 places.

I went to a wonderful Italian restaurant with the owner being Elizabeth. I just can't remember the name of the place. She had wonderful food, and even gave us a free appetizer.

You said top 3, but I thought of a couple others.

Zee Zicht across from Karels downtown.

And I liked RumRunners at Capt' Don's, plus it's entertaining to watch the tarpon in the lights. My buddy wasn't as impressed. For something less expensive, there's the Pizza Temple there also.

I like Zee Zicht's a lot. Is Rum Runners the place that has the brick oven pizza? We ordered 200.00 worth of brick oven pizza on the last group trip and it was excellent. I believe it was by Captain Don's but the dive shop were the ones that recommended it.

That's the place. Pizza's better at Donna & Giorgio's though.

It is? Why? Is it brick oven? Are they a new place downtown? Thanks.

Rum Runners is at Capt Dons.
D&G is on the main drag north of town about 1/2 way between the traffic circle and the sharp curve thats' on edge of town. They are the open air spot on the right hand side of the street heading north. I don't remember how long they have been there but they have been there for several years at least. Never tried the pizza there but the other dishes are good. Pasa Bon Pizza is also pretty good if you want pizza.

New? I don't think so..it's been there for years. As you're driving into town a little past the circle from Buddy's/Don's etc. there's a jog in the road where it goes south towards the pier. Right there on the left there's a red outdoor cafe with some tables crowded right up against the road. That's the place.

It's just better. I had pizza both there and at Rumrunners in the same week and liked D&G better. In all fairness to RR though, my food was cool by the time I got to it as I spent about 15 minutes explaining to a non-diver at the next table over what the tarpon were doing and how it was to dive with them.

And like you, I know pizza, born in the Windy City - actually Berwyn - I'd kill for Gino's East to open out here. We have the chain Uno's here but it's awful.

About the menu, they only have one, it's a huge blackboard. So when you first get there and ask to see a menu you'll have to wait your turn until the server drags it over. It's some kind of inside joke as the girls don't tell you until they bring it. The pasta is supposed to be outstanding also.

If you take the whole group there, you'll bury them, so call first, or stop by on one of your trips past there. It's not obvious until you know where it is, but you literally go by it everytime you're north of town and drive back along the waterfront. I'm pretty sure it's dinner only also.

Dang, there's this amazing french restaurant about two blocks off the main drag but I can't recall the name!! It had a large outdoor covered patio - no indoors. they had their own smoker for fish. They did absolutely no advertising and they weren't listed anywhere. Our DM told us about it. It was on a corner across from the movie theater. Dinner only. I was just there in Feb so it's prob still open.

Anyone? A little help here?
