I've seen this on another board but they are using different board software... but how about some sort of Instant messaging, much like MSN or Yahoo. Makes it a little easier to figure out dive plans as opposed to sending out PM's all the time. I know I know, most of the time I have their phone numbers or other means of contact but it would be a nice feature...

That isn't a feature this forum offers in its standard set and really it goes against the nature of a forum. We have however enabled IM style private messages which automatically check for a new message every time you load a page, it isn't instant but it is quick.
