word of advice...think long and hard about switching to a back-inflate or wing style BCD. if your bouyancy is off now, switching will certainly not help you. it will definetely take longer for you to get used to a back-inflate and will require several dives for you to get comfortable with your new gear. a good integrated jacket (i did not see you mention whether the ones you have used are integrated) that has trim pockets would be (IMHO) a better fit for someone that does not dive regularly or dives only yearly.
