There are two exciting events happening on Saturday, February 17th for Houston area scuba divers (or for scuba divers from any location!!):
WHO: Divers and wanna-be-divers
WHEN: Saturday, February 17th from 4:00 p.m. to ????
WHERE: Big John’s Ice House12640 Briar Forest (at Dairy Ashford)
Houston, TX 77077
1) The first Houston area Scuba Diver Social of 2007 will be held at Big John’s beginning at 5:00 p.m. Come on out and mix and mingle with your current dive buddies, and meet some new ones!
2) The City of Houston Underwater Mariners (CHUM) Dive Club will be hosting a chili cook-off at Big John’s from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (or whenever they run out of chili). They invite you to come out, have a bite to eat, and help them judge the chili. The cost is $10-15 depending on how much chili you choose to sample, and the money will be used to offset the cost of the CHUM dragon boat racing team (who won an award in last year’s competition). This is the perfect way to kick off the Scuba Diver Social!
