any soft mesh/fabric bag like that will stuff under the seat or someplace on a dayboat just fine. It's bags that are hard or have a rigid side that can be a problem. Usually you will take your BC and reg out as soon as you get on the boat and set them up on a tank. Sometimes you'll take your fins out and tuck them under your seat. The bag with the rest of your misc stuff can easily go under the seat until you need it.
