Is there anything south of FA before the Reef Club? Hotel or condo is fine. I liked the FA location and would rather not be as far south as Reef Club, so I'm wondering if there are any accommodations in between.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'll bring my tent ; ) I think I saw some buildings from the water that looked like houses or condo, but I haven't been able to find anything online.

That is my attorney/notario's house....seriously! It's beautiful!

Scubawife, what you've seen are rental villas....some that come to mind are Villa Dos, Villa Allegria, Villa Las Glorias...they have easy beach pick-ups.

this link pops up with Villa Dos, but if you scroll down you will see links for the other two mentioned. may be bigger than what you need, but I have had MANY happy divers in these three villas.

We just stayed at Villa Coronado just south of FA. Very nice. Highly recommended.
http://gocozumel.com/coronado/ Right next door is Villa Torres which also looked very nice http://gocozumel.com/torres/ There is a third house right next door to Torres that is newly constructed and brand new. Don't know the name. Good luck! Its a beautiful area. Its not a guaranteed beach pickup though. Strictly up to the captain and based upon weather, etc. We ended up just driving over to FA every day for pickup.

I found a couple listings that say they are at the enterance of the old Chankanaab road? 11 km south of town and just north of the Chankanaab Park. The pics are all of the same buildings but the names are Villas Chankanaab, Chankanaab Condos, Chankanaab Arriba and Condo Ivan. (the last two are names given by owners to their rental units I'm assuming) Anyone have any idea about these - where they are or ever seen them? This trip will be 4 people at most so the big villas will be too much space and $'s.

If you don't mind being just south of Reef Club check out Reef Residencias. Brand new condos with top of the line amenties. Very nice and highly recommended. There is construction going on but we didn't care because we were gone all day and the prices were very low because of it. http://www.residenciasreef.com/eng/default.asp You can contact Nancy at Cozumel Living if you are interested. http://www.cozumelliving.com/

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. We're splitting a nine day trip between Cozumel and Akumal, so it depends on whether anything other then a hotel will rent for less then a full week. Also depends on whether or not our friends decide to come this year. If it ends up just being the two of us I'll probably go the hotel route again and try a condo or villa next yr if we do full week. Thanks again!
