I have a question about boots and my wetsuit. I just bought a 3 mm wetsuit and all I have is 7mm boots. My question is should I buy different boots or will mine work with the 3 mm suit?

They will work, but why carry all that extra buoyancy? You may well need ring weights for your ankles to maintain horizontal trim.

They'll work nicely.

I always use 7mm boots when diving in a wetsuit abroad.

You can never be too warm.

I've got 7mm 'arctic' something booties, and use 'em with everything from a swimsuit to my 2X7mm john and jacket. No problem.

I never notice the extra insulation.

Good question. I've never thought of this. I used 7mm booties in the tropics with a 3mm shorty and did not notice a difference in temperature or trim. Go for it!

feet warm mean comfy diving....nothing like cold feet to ruin a dive...

Ankle RING weights....a myth in itself...

enjoy
