I'm trying to imagine an out-of-air diver trying to break a ziptie. Do they break that easily? To OP: I prefer using very small zipties for any reg that could be donated. That way when needed I can rip it off a dring. Only negative is sometimes you bump it wrong and lose your ziptie and potentially the snapbolt, though it rarely happens.
I use something like this for securing my octo...breaks away easily when tugged: Kraton Octo Holder
Thanks! Would love a picture when you can.I forget what knot I used but I just tied it together and then used a lighter to melt the ends as to not let it unthread later. Can post a pic later but currently at work
Edit: I just remembered it was a square knot. I pulled on it really hard and it wouldn’t pop so I was satisfied
