Hose diameters

I have some questions about hose diameters

1. Does QD hoses has same diameter (or similar diameter) with LP hose for second stage since they are both named LP hose? I'm not comparing the fitting here, but only the "hose body" itself.

2. Since there are adapters that can convert standard BC hose to AIR2 hose, does that mean a Scubapro AIR2 QD hose has the same hose diameter with the standard one? In other words, is AIR2 QD hose only a standard LP hose with larger QD fitting?

1. the hose itself is usually the same
2. basically, yes. Often times the Air2 type hoses are just regulator hoses with the QD adapter screwed in. You can do the same with BC QD's as well, but the restrictions are in the quick disconnect orifice itself
