This was a first. I was banging around in 3-5 ft viz looking for lobster last night when I saw a potentially legal one under a ledge. As I lined up to make my grab I noticed that the rock on the bottom of the niche had fins!! My lobster was hiding behind a sleeping Horn Shark. While I pondered the advisability of letting sleeping sharks lie, the bug made his exit, stage left. Oh well, it was probable short anyway, said the fox.

Hey Dr. Bill,

If you see this, what's with the red kelp crabs this year? I seem to be seeing more of them, and bigger specimens, than I can remember seeing before. Anyone know if they're good eating?
