Anyone found a source for a (hopefully inexpensive) 6-hole punch so the printouts from my computer can be placed into my 6-ring, 4 1/2" x 7" format logbook?

It seems to be the same size as many looseleaf planners, in the "Compact," or "Portable," "Passport," or "Running Mate" size, depending on vendor.

Several of the companies that make planners also make hole punches for them. Check out your local office supply store in the planner section, or look online at staples.com, officemax.com, officedepot.com, etc. They should be under $10 a piece. If you're looking to to under $5, you can get a single-hole punch (the kind you might use to punch a ticket) and then use one of your existing pages as a template over the unpunched ones to tell you where each of the six holes should be punched.

Hope this helps!

Unless there's something new out there I haven't found yet, you have four choices...
(1) use a single hole punch six times (about $5)
(2) use a single sheet daytimer punch (about $5)
(3) use a standard 3 hole punch twice (about $10)
(4) use a 7 hole punch ($56 from OD)
If anyone has found a multipage six hole punch for less money I'd be interested in it too.

I use a Daytimer hole punch. I almost threw it away when I converted to a Palm years ago.

You can order them here, $23 each.

This reply is 3 years late, but it may benefit others. I stumbled on your original post while looking for the punch myself-for my dive log too! I was surprised how hard it was to find a 6 hole punch (six hole punch). Yes there are other ways to make holes but being an engineer . . . need I say more?

http://www.mypencil.com/mall/page127AdjSevenPunch.asp (adjusts from 3-7 holes)

Just less than $30 including shipping. Franklin Covey sells a plastic cheapy too.
