Hey yall, Gotta quick question. I live in Orange Beach Al. I'm made countless dives at Alabama Point, Destin Jettie, Ft Mcray and my favorite spot ST. Andrews in PC. Are there any other good shore dives on the panhandle? Thank you

St. Andrews is a favorite of mine as well. They have put a couple of artificial reefs out. One is in Pensacola down the road from the portofino resort, entrance is at parking lot h. There are two orange poles on the dunes to line up with. The "trees" are about 100 to 150 yards from shore. They just put one somewhere in Navarre I'm not sure where exactly it is but it is the same tree structures.

Oh cool, have you dove them yet? Also I hear there is some wreck in about twenty feet of water at the entrance of Ft Mcrey. They say at low tide you can see the waves breaking on the gun torrents. I have never seen but I haven't really looked too hard. Do you know of this wreck?

You might be able to reach the Massachusetts by kayak if you're crazy but I wouldn't classify it as a shore dive.

I figured it wouldn't be a shore dive since I couldn't see it. If it's marked then we will be sure to look for it next time we head to ft mcrey to camp. Thank yall so much. Look forward to checking it out. I'm assuming that it being so close to shore that you would still want to dive it right before hightide.

thank you for the link also, I had no idea there was that much history involved. I grew up in Orange Beach, I can't believe there isn't more info available. You would think there would be more people that know about this dive.
