I was.wondering if a hog second stage will work with a.scubapro mk2? If so do I need to have them adjusted to work together? Also does dive right in scuba do this? They will be where I will order the hog from. Thanks

It is my understanding that all manufacturers try to hit a second stage pressure of around 145 p.s.i., so any well adjusted second should work on any first. Having the manual for specifics - helps. I put it in that context because I work on my own gear.

It will work fine. The MK-2 is an unbalanced first stage so IP will vary across a small range of pressure but since the HOG second stage is balanced it will not make any difference. Unless your MK-2 or the HOG is way out of adjustment it should work nicely with little to no adjustment, esp if you get the diver adjustable version.

it will work fine.

Good deal, so if my mk2 is working correctly then I can just hook them up together?

That should do it. There can be an issue when attaching an unbalanced second stage to any first stage. If the second is tuned close to freeflow at an IP that is lower than the actual pressure of the first stage it will tend to freeflow or breath hard if it was tuned with a higher IP than the first stage actually is. In either case one or the other would have to be adjusted. With a balanced second stage (like the HOG is), the exact IP is no longer a concern.....compensating for a varying IP is what the balancing does...so it being off a few psi either way is not a problem. If either is way off it can be an issue but odds are they will be fine. A simple solidly built first stage with a quality balanced second stage IMO is the best combination and that is what you are proposing to do. They should work well together.

If your first stage is working correctly you can hook up most any second stage to it.

Thanks everyone for the help, I just ordered my hog second stage I cant wait to try it out!
