I just don't log dives
Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the HOLLIS 212 2nd stage reg and the HOG SE 2nd stage regs? I own a set of 212s and looking to convert one of them to a left port using the conversion part from the HOG. I know they are basically the same reg with different makers logos, but I'm not sure how different.
Thanks in advance.

highly unlikely the case of the Hollis will accept the bits to swap it around. The case design requires cutouts on both sides, and most second stages don't have that

I currently own both and can confirm tbone's hunch. The Hollis 212 will not work reversibly. Even with a bit of dremel-engineering, the insides are different enough to make it severely not worth trying.

Having said that: I've never felt the need to use the left-entry "feature" of any of my reversible second stages. I currently own 6 reversible second stages, and I've reversed two of them for O2 duty....but only because I don't have the "right-side entry" kit for one of the two O2 regs and I decided to standardize. Otherwise, they'd all-6 be standard right-entry.

BTW, do you mean hog switchback?

The SE was the all black model.

The Argonaut Safe Second has a left handed inlet. For $68 dollars you get a new and very cool looking second stage. Store - Vintage Double Hose
