CompuDude:In sum, I don't know that it's entire fair to say only OxyCheq makes an adjustable harness for backplates without a chest strap, when at least one other company makes such a harness with what can only be described as an optional chest strap.
Thanks for your comments CompuDude, I mentioned only oxycheq because when you purchase these comfort harness, they come with the chest strap and although in some cases you can remove them but you've paid for the chest strap already.
BigTuna, thanks for your explanation. As far as I know, all the quick releases are under your arms and having used a dry suit once, I can't really comment on how numb your fingers get. As for hanging up your gauges on the harness, I guess that everyone who uses wrist gagues have that problem with harness. I usually turn my compass face to the bottom of my wrist when doning the rig so it doesn't hang up.
