Hog and Edge reg sets. Ok to soak unpressurized?

I have a HOG D1 set and Edge Epic II regulator set. I don't have any tanks that I can attach these reg sets to at my house, is it ok to soak these reg sets in warm water with the dust caps attached?

These are both new so I don't want to do something dumb and ruin them. Thanks

I would suggest a good rinse only! If there is no pressure or your "dust cap" leaks, water will enter your first stage.
It can be blown out, you just do not want it to go into your gauge. You can not guarantee it will not travel that route!

I have more confidence in the HOG Din cap that comes with the reg for soaking than the dust cap on the yoke Epic dust cap...

Your Regs are nice! I got a D1 a month or so ago and now it is my primary. The cap that came with it is by far better than some others I have had. I just don't soak my regs unless under pressure!
