Hinged fins -opinions?

they were entangled at the hinge. it really isn't that hard yanno.
I agree, and the rest of me wants to say "don't turn fins into shoes".

+1 for non-hinged fins with stainless-steel spring straps! Hinged fins are a failure point waiting for the worst possible moment to strike! LOVE my Apollo Bio fins !

I wonder how they would be for shore diving. It's always a pain to put the fins on in surf.

Hey thanks folks-In the end my wife just isn't too strong in the legs, period. We were lucky enough to get to borrow a range of fins and it ended up that for her use split fins were the way to go.
