well I think that what they call "butternut pumpkin" here is what we would call "butternut squash"

man should have seen me shopping her for a while.....

"Excuse me mam (to a friendly looking stranger in the groc store) I am making x and I need something we call y.... for it.... y looks like .... and does...... do you know what I am talking about and where to get it... what do you call it?"

Oh Petunia I've never called a butternut pumpkin a butternut squash here, ever...but maybe it's a Sydney thing, eh? ;)

Oh, remember the long talks we had each night, my dearest? About long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, what a pot plant was, whether squash was the same thing as pumpkin (and just what the he!! a Japp pumpkin was in the first place)... :rofl3:
