At the risk of fostering an unpopular viewpoint:
We want the MOF to be a drama free zone. Charity begins at home. I'll be the first to jump up and defend my friends when they are hurt or slieghted but some things just aren't worth getting worked up over.
A relatively new poster made an insensitive comment, was raked over the coals and has apologized. Lesson learned. Enough.
The MOF playground isn't for everyone. Some view it with distaste because it's hard to truly appreciate the dynamic without being a part of it. We're an often rowdy, irreverent, disruptive, disrespectful to ourselves, frat house type band of friends. For those that post here regularly, we know that. To paraphrase the words of Tom Mount "Either you get us, or you don't."
We have several MOF'ers that participate in the Hijack thread on a semi-regular basis and several of their posters have played here in the MOF. Continuing the cross-thread antagonism will just bring unwanted attention to BOTH our playgrounds.
We get enough of that as it is. As the islanders would say "Relax mon!"
My $.02.
