Warmed up above zero for the first time in many weeks yesterday and we actually have some water running around. Time to "ice off"....probably 4 more weeks at least.

Ok... so how long for the water to warm up after that, or does it get significantly warmer??

In winter here water temps usually 15-17C, in summer 22C

necesity the mother of invention hmmm:D

bygolly..... I'm sure with a little work... you can get into the top ten..:shocked2:. and learn to be a professional wine taster:D..... I hear they don't inhale.... oh sorry wrong vice.:shakehead:.. they don't swallow!

Well even after tonight I still know SFA about wine. The food was excellent tonight though....a great improvement over last nights mess. Tonight, Winstons put on a great Italian spread rivalling anything we ate in Tuscany last Oct. The Portugoose affair last night....well let's just say it wasn't the chef's specialty...I don't think he will go there again.

I am soooooo not missing that!!!!!!!!

YOU TALKED ... I pretended to listen ;)

:shocked2:Pardon... did you hear something..... :eyebrow:

Sure is. :D

Hello Petunia, how was your day?

Fairly easy day Advanced Resuscitation.... Nice Doctor in the class.... good to bounce ideas off her... check accuracy on a couple things .... most classes you don't have people who REALLY know their stuff. I am always looking for ideas how to help people understand basic functions in a simple way that is still accurate.

Husband and Wife team who were taking it for their DM course... interesting chatting during breaks... enjoy days like that:D

We will get up to 21 or so at the height of the summer but only for the first 10 meters or so. Then it will drop rather quickly to 10 degrees. Dry suits are de rigeur for any deep or early season dives. Haven't invested yet but will likely have one in the quiver for this summer....want to do some exploring in the chuck...remember the mention of Bella Coola.

Winstons always has had a good reputation.... never had food there that wasn't pretty good!

And 100% female serving staff....and they are a delight. Mona is a very attentive and friendly maitre d' and our server Emma was outstanding. They make going there on any night a pleasure. We just happened to meet two local divers there tonight as well and we shared some adventures. They had also done the liveaboard thing on the GBR with Spoilsport.
