I would like to submit a small project at our neighborhood high school. Each year they have a robot competition. Nothing big, just small inexpensive homemade robots that are used to compete in an open house activity. The purpose is to encourage science to students that are at risk of dropping out of school. I thought of submitting an ROV. There is a swimming pool in the school, so this will not be a problem. The budget for each robot is $250.00. I can add to this if the amount is not too big. I found some ROV homemade kits at the sites mentioned below. I was hoping for some other suggestions from divers with good ideas. I will be videotaping the experience if it’s accepted as one of the projects and I will post the video on YouTube and ScubaBoard of course. The depth of the pool is about twelve feet, I think, so it doesn’t have to be made for open water. It’s for a good cause guys, hope to hear from you.
