Where can I find a couple of these fittings? I found them at Piranha, but they want as much for shipping as for the part.

thanx

1/4? Where is that going to fit?

I was thinking something like the 7/16 Oceanic Data Link. We use them so 4 regulator sets can share 2 sets of instruments. They support pressure transmission, not a working air flow.

You haven't said what you are using it for but there are a couple of different QD connections that I have used in some of my air systems. First is a heavy duty 1/4" Parker fitting that can handle up to 6000 PSI. I use them for people that want to have a quick disconnect from their portable compressor if the hose is fairly long or it goes to a fill panel. sm2514fp.jpg
The other one I use is actually a smaller one that looks similar to a BC QD but is rated for either 3000 or 5000 PSI and it is 1/8" NPT. I don't even bother with the 3000 anymore. This little guy is what I use on the stainless steel fill panels on boats because it is also stainless. However, due to the size, these are not as tough as the 6000 and won't stand too much strain.

Either way, the sets (male and female parts) are expensive. The big 6000 psi one is about $50 while the 5000 psi SS one is about $40.

Wherever you decide to get your parts, make sure they are rated for HP. A lot of the stuff on line is automotive rated and that stuff just don't cut it!

the little one will work for what i want. do you have a part number and or source?

thanx

Most any dive shop can order them from Global (part number 56176) or I also have them from the original manufacturer.
