High number of shark attacks

Also common to these attacks in volusia county are the high number of surf fishermen "attracting sharks" with the effects of bait and struggling fish.
A couple of weeks ago I jumped in to the water about 75 feet away from where a hooked sailfish was jumping like crazy...the 3 big bullsharks under him were not nearly as friendly as bullsharks normally are :)

Does anyone know of a confirmed shark attack on a diver in Florida?

I don't know what the documented numbers are, but in over 30 years of diving, the only times I have seen sharks act dangerously around divers, it involved spearfishing, and usually with a struggling fish.....the blood makes the sharks curious/interested, the struggling makes them pissed/agitated/demanding their portion of the food....
