Kathalinamarie:
My husband and I are newly certified. Bob completed his check out dives at Gilboa in October and I finished mine at Vortex Springs in Florida in January.

This is the husbandly unit in question.:) I would like to mention our other dives so far have been in Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten while we were on a cruise this March.

Would love to meet local people. The weekend of June 24 we are scheduled to camp in the UP at Fayette State Park. Apparently there is diving in the little bay there off Lake Michigan. Looking forward to connecting with Michigan divers. Kathalina

Personally, as a history buff, I'm more interested in the 1870's iron smelting facility that is the centerpiece of the park, but the diving is pretty good too I guess :D For those not familiar with Fayette, it is located on the Garden Peninsula which juts into Lake Michigan. There are supposed to be interesting artifacts to look at when you dive into the harbor there.

Bout all I can think of at the moment. Hope that the Air Shack manages to open again, that will be a great convenience for our local dives.:)
