I just picked up my Halcyon HID 9amp/21 watt light and was wondering if anyone can make a recommendation for a good case?

With the large investment that I made in the light I want to protect it and could use some guidance to meet that need.

Thanks,

MG

I just keep my salvo in a rubbermaid bin with a coolie over the head. It's worked fine so far. I'm not exactly throwing the thing around like it's luggage.

I think Halcyon might have a case specifically designed for your light. I remember seeing some guys from Europe with it. It holds the can, light, charger, and two scouts, plus it looks real cool.

Only problem is it's unnecessarily deep since you don't need to carry your charger to the dive site, or protect the backup lights with the same ardor.

but it's really cool looking!

Where is the link to that Halcyon case? If not, I know Sports Chalet carries all the Pelican cases with foam. I can take my light and get one of those to fit it.

Thanks,

MG

BTW, B&H (sp?) photo video online carry the cases at very competitive prices last I checked.

You can buy a blank lid to clip on the cannister when transporting. Just do that. If you can mess up a non-acrylic battery case absent a pretty major accident you need a medal. Just put the head/ lid in a safe place. Small pelican box works for this. The carry cases are overkill for transporting in a car/boat and weigh too much for air travel.
