Which size do you use, I went and saw the Pelican Cases in Sports Chalet and they didn't fit. What size did you pick up?

I found a simple bag to hold the light with can but it doesn't have enough protection for the main light. I will try to post a pic of what I got.

It was a simple Aqualung bag for $20 bucks...

Most of the time mine is just kept on my kit. If I travel longer distances for weekend trips or something then it lives in a milk crate with my regs.

I share others opinions that a case is unnecessary. I used to use one, but now it just sits on the top shelf collecting dust.

I use a generic case for storage -- just makes it easier to fit into my scuba cabinet.

When I travel I keep the lid assembled with the canister, this way the mating surfaces and the O ring are protected. I put a coolie on the lamp (it fits perfectly) and the battery in a separate corner of my luggage. This piece of equipment is encased in metal or Delrin. It's pretty bulletproof.

These lamps are pretty strong. I once fell flat on my belly in a foot of water when reaching the shore. I had the lamp in my hand and it was rammed in the clay, so much that when I pulled it out the reflector was filled flush with the stuff. It still works fine after a year.

I put the charger in a Tupperware container.

For local use (i.e., house to boat - boat to house) I just place it in my dive bag. A seperate case will add unecessary bulk. I already have a Pelican case for my ATA O2/Trimix tester and another larger one for my tools/parts kit. I can't imagine lugging another one! The light housing and light head are pretty darn tough and could withstand normal "banging around".

Airplane travel is another story - I carry it on inside a backpack, etc. I just reverse the plug on the can so that the plugs go into the "blank" part of the battery (not the + and - plugs). I carry a copy of the instructions and Halcyon web page listing the lamp so I can answer the boneheads' questions at the airport.
