Finally decided to join after months of visiting - to start, thank you for allowing that!
I'm not a diver, but I do snorkel, and have found your site to be great in providing info on destinations, and have picked up hints that'll help me with snorkeling i.e. mask fogging. Also LOVE the sense of humour on some threads!
I live in Alberta, Canada, have been travelling for 25+ years- mostly, but not exclusively, beach destinations. Was introduced to snorkeling in Fiji years ago and now its become a factor in deciding where I'm going.
Heading to Curacao in just two weeks for two weeks at Sunset Waters. One of my travelling companions, snorkelgeek, has posted some questions on your site & the answers have been helpful. Can hardly wait to hit that Caribbean water!

If you love snorkeling you will REALLY love diving... after MANY years of looking down at those fishies I took the plunge.. and never looked back. (except to regret not diving on ALL of those wonderful vacations prior to certification) Curacao is where my husband finally tried diving, I had tried snuba and loved it in Hawaii then talked him into trying it, we were both hooked after that and finished up our OW in Coz.
