Just wanted to introduce myself...Jessica from Ventura :)

Anyone dive frequently up here? I dive anywhere from Malibu to Santa Barbara, and the islands. I want to get down south a little more, but the price of gas seems just as much as a boat trip!

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the SoCal section. If you are looking to dive, you've come to the right place. Check out this thread for the Mo2vation monthly boat dive schedule:
http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=123220

This thread for Rickster's July dive/pinic up in your neck of the woods:
http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=144967

And keep an eye out for the July Wrinkles dive in Catalina. Just post here when you are looking to dive, I'm sure someone will be ready to dive.

Dive safe,
Phil

Hi Jessica, I was just about to make one of these posts myself. I'm a newbie from Simi Valley, and I'm looking for people to dive with as well. I'm a poor college student, so I'm interested in some beach diving, but I've got no experience at it :(.

I was looking at the wrinkles thread and I'm going to try and make it out when they visit Cabrillo beach in august.

Jessica and Mike, I'm from further down south but know I want to dive in your neck of the "woods" some day. I'm sure " Rickster " http://www.scubaboard.com/member.php?u=36224 will find your post soon. He is the "local guide" for the SB family in the north So Cal and he'll point you many oppertunities. Also check out www.sbdiving.com have fun diving and I'll sure we will see ya'll under the water some day soon.

hello there Jessica,
Welcome to Scubaboard! My 12 year old and I are regulars on the Spectre and I dive the Peace without him at least once a month, can't beat Trish's food, :D. There are many of us that have a home base near Ventura on here so you will have no problem finding buddies in the future. Just pick a date and shout it out and we'll all come running.

Mark

Hi Jessica and Mike,

Welcome to The SoCal Forum of The ScubaBoard!

There are a lot of divers that go out just about every weekend here. As Phil stated, the Tri-counties Dive and Picnic is held every 1st Sat of the month. I dive almost every weekend from Malibu to north of Santa Barbara, myself. You are welcome to come along, there usually are a few people diving, so, a buddy is always available. Another great group of people to get together with is:

http://www.SBDiving.com

I dive with them quite offen, as well.

Also, do as Mark suggests, do a post and let people know you want to dive a certain site or be open for any site. You will get responses.

If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me.

Hope to see you and dive with you, real soon,

Rick

Hi Jessica and Mike,

Welcome to the So Cal Kelp Divers forum. Rickster can definitely hook you up with some great diving, and plenty of great people up in Northern Southern Cal to dive with! I'm a Southern Southern Cal guy but I'll be seeing you soon I'm sure!

Welcome to the SoCal Section of ScubaBoard! :happywave

There are plenty of people to dive with around here and everyone is really friendly. Just post when and where you want to dive or invite yourself along when you see people getting together.

Dive safe.
