Hello All, OP here,

I went to the travel clinic today and got pretty much everything... Hep A, Typhoid pills, TDaP, Flu shot, Malarone, and an Rx for an antibiotic in case of travelers diarrhea. They billed my insurance but I'm not expecting them to cover much.

The saving grace is that most of them are good for a long, long time. Hep A is a lifetime immunity if I go back for a 2nd shot, TDap is 10 years, Typhoid is 5 years. This is the first of hopefully many dive trips so while it likely cost a fortune, I've accepted it. Better safe than sorry :)

Another tip. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is usually the antibiotic they give for traveler's diarrhea. If you have Publix grocery stores in your area with a pharmacy you can get this antibiotic for free there. Just get the clinic/ health department to write the prescription out to take with you.

I have never had diarrhea on a trip. I had a flu relapse on a trip once, in a year I forgot to get the flu shot - about it. I do avoid fresh dairy products & raw fruits & veggies on trips.
