I would love to think that as divers we are connected enough to the marine environment that we would NEVER support a captive dolphin program. Beyond Diving nailed it...if you want to see dolphins get your butt out on the ocean and they might follow your boat or if you are really lucky you might see them on dive. Captive dolphins are taken from their natural environment in a very inhumane way and spend the rest of their lives in small pools (often dirty). Don't support this kind of "entertainment".

As diving would be nice to see dolphins taking a 3yr old would be hard not to mention dangerous if you read the post you would have seen its a family vacation looking for things to do to entertain my daughter if you have only comments like this keep em to yourself as they are not helpful

Any time I can try to dissuade someone from watching an intelligent mammal suffer for their entertainment I will not keep my comments to myself.

So I guess you disagree taking my daughter to the aquarium to educate her on the different types of fish and what thier roll is in the circle of life and hope it sparks and interest in the love for the water and diving I have I gues you don't like that idea either

There is a HUGE difference between watching well-cared for fish in an aquarium setting with all the room they need to flourish as a vehicle to educate and capturing large, nomadic marine mammals and containing them in small dirty pools only to let them into larger pools for a few minutes so they can jump through hoops and balance balls. Your may as well compare a well-run Zoo involved in endangered species protection and reintroduction with Ringling Brothers circus.

Anyway enjoy your vacation...Playa is beautiful.

Hey Opie, apparently I'm following you around in the forums

Since you're using ProtecPlaya, there's a Mega that's close by, on Avenue Constiuentes. They'll have pretty much anything you would need for groceries. There's a Walmart close by also. Chedraui is another good place to get groceries. Have a meal or two at El Fagon. There's one a block away from Protec and another across the street from Mega. The arracherra is awesome!

I seen on some post a grocery store can't find the post nor remember the name but they were saying food was skyhigh
