And yes, "sea squirts" is a common way to refer to tunicates. The scientific term for the class is "ascidian".

I like this shot of a Nembrotha chamberlaini which appears to be munching on these ascidians and the blue colour on the slug reminds me a kid eating ice cream and having it smeared across its face
