I just got a VYTEC with the transmitter and leaving for a trip tomorrow.
While reading the manual, I found out that the transmitter will shut off if no pressure is changed after 5 minutes. However, I may run into a problem if it does that, so I am wondering what is the solution for your VYTEC owners.
Normally, we gear up everything before the boat embarks. Thus, we need to open the cylinder valve, and synchronize the transmitter and the VYTEC. However, it takes more than 5 minutes to reach the destination for the dive. Then I can imagine that VYTEC will show "FAIL" as the transmitter is shut off and the VYTEC couldn't receive any signal, according to the manual.
So I wonder whether the only solution in this scenario is to close the cylinder, wait for 10 seconds, then re-open it again? Last time I tried this approach and it did not work.
So could anyone tell me how to handle this? Any alternative approach to prevent it from happening in the first place?
I am leaving tomorrow so I really appreciate your quick response.
