well, this is sort of diving related... next year, i am looking to buy a new car, but i am sick of diving off a trunk-ed car (Lancer), so i am looking for a small, cheap, hatchback

so far, my choices seem to be narrowed to the ones listed:

Hyundai Accent (1.6 L, 110 hp)
Nissan Versa (1.8 L, 122 hp)
Toyota Yaris (1.5 L, 106 hp)

any good/bad info on them?

am i missing any hatchback bargains?

thanks in advance for any imput

What list Andy?

ah... the one i forgot to type before pressing "Post"

why do you ask?

I had an Accent - it is indeed small and not terribly peppy (no passing on a hill, that's for sure) but really reliable - a good quality car. I was happy enough with it that it was replaced with another Hyundai.

We just purchased a Pontiac Vibe - also a hatchback. Quite a bit bigger and it has all-wheel drive, handy for those Ontario winters. But it was a pretty good bargin, all things considered.

Here's a pretty good deal on a Gremlin. Heck, it's downright cheap !
